We are delighted to be writing to you to announce the opening of our brand new surgery. After many years of hard work we are finally ready to move into our new building. We will be closing our doors at Blendworth Lane at 1pm on Friday 31st January 2020 and we will opening our doors at Horndean Surgery, 7-11 London Road, Horndean, Waterlooville PO8 0BN at 8am on Monday 3rd February 2020. Our telephone number remains the same as do our normal opening hours. Access to Patient Access for repeat medication requests and medical records, on-line appointment booking and E-Consult also remains the same. We will be available for urgent calls only from 1pm to 6.30 pm on the 31st January 2020.
We are aware that the parking situation is still far from perfect but unfortunately this has been, and remains, completely out of our control. The car park is managed by First Point Management on behalf of Linden Homes. As a parking restriction formed part of the planning agreement between Linden Homes and East Hampshire District Council, we have been reassured that the car park will be monitored and the 2 hour restriction enforced. Parking is free for up to 2 hours. There is one disabled space at the back of the building which is solely for the use of people with very limited mobility or a blue badge. Parking is available in the public car park opposite the old surgery, in front of and by the side of the parade of shops on Portsmouth Road and in the public car park next door to Shambles. We are also closer to the bus stops for those using public transport.
We would like to take this opportunity to welcome all our patients to our exciting new building and to thank everyone who has worked so hard to bring the project to completion including the surgery’s Patient Participation Group, EHDC, our local Clinical Commissioning Group our Local Developers, Blendworth Development LTD and Guy Sheppard.
We plan to hold an open day in the near future so please do visit us here online or visit us on our Face book page. Please also look out for our posters in the surgery for more information once we have moved.
